Zusammenfassung

Traylor Bros., Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to compile and maintain payroll data and run weekly and bi-weekly payroll. This role partners with HR and operations to ensure accurate withholdings, salary adjustments, and timely payroll distributions.

The ideal candidate will have payroll experience, familiarity with ADP, and the ability to handle tax filings and year-end documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifikationen

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in payroll or related area.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and ADP payroll reporting.
  • Familiar with standard office procedures and software.

Summary
Position Summary

This role is responsible for compiling and maintaining payroll data as well as running payroll.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Make required changes to employee information such as change of address, withholdings, or regular deductions
  • Time Entry and processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepares and distributes payroll checks on appropriate dates as directed, along with payroll registers as necessary
  • Prepare and file the federal and state payroll tax withholding returns
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end documents such as W2 forms
  • Set up new state withholding accounts
  • Prepares manual payroll checks as required in case of payroll errors or terminations
  • Prepare and submit union fringe benefit reports with the proper fund office
  • Create union pay tables in the payroll system
  • Assist with union audits
  • Maintain a calendar indicating scheduled pay increases and dates when employees are to be added to benefit programs that require payroll deductions
  • Explain payroll options to employees, such as direct deposit
  • Transmit information or documents using a computer, mail, or a facsimile machine
  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
  • Experience in payroll tax reporting and compliance using ADP.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
