Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Bothell, WA team onsite. You will manage timekeeping data, keep employee records up to date, and support I-9 and E-Verify compliance in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will collaborate with supervisors and HR/Operations to resolve payroll issues, maintain data integrity, and deliver accurate, timely payroll services while protecting confidential information and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, and compliance processes.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Skilled at building partnerships and guiding supervisors on payroll matters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS or payroll/timekeeping systems; strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication, problem solving, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing by reviewing, validating, and managing employee timekeeping data.
  • Maintain employee records and process personnel changes while ensuring data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Support I-9 and E-Verify activities and help drive compliance with employment and payroll requirements.
  • Partner with supervisors and operational leaders to resolve payroll issues and improve process consistency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to employee and manager payroll inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
What Are We Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, and compliance processes with the ability to manage detailed information accurately.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Bothell, WA, and operates in a dynamic office environment with regular collaboration across HR, Payroll, and Operations teams.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
