Job summary

Buchanan Hauling & Rigging is seeking a Settlements Coordinator in Fort Wayne, IN to join our payroll and driver settlements team. You’ll handle weekly settlements, reimbursements, and deductions, while ensuring timely and accurate payment to drivers and carriers.

In this role you’ll review driver documentation, correct gaps, update the payroll system, and communicate with carriers about payment statuses. Strong attention to detail and initiative are essential to maintain precise records.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly driver settlements/payroll including calculating reimbursements and advances.
• Review driver submitted documentation including partnering with drivers to correct any gaps in documentation.
• Process and maintain legally mandated deductions.
• Research and correct errors and/or discrepancies in settlement information.
• Input new drivers into the payroll system.
• Communicate with carriers providing payment statuses and updates.
• Entering information into the carrier file to ensure proper payment.
• Audit paperwork to discover and correct discrepancies between company and carrier information.
• Manage phone and email communication and respond promptly to any requests and questions.
• Utilize imaging software to scan documents and upload files to maintain proper recordkeeping.
