Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Manager of NSHE Payroll Services to lead payroll operations for the NSHE system. The role oversees staff, ensures accurate payments, and analyzes liabilities across multi-state taxes, healthcare, and retirement plans while implementing system changes and maintaining payroll calendars.

The position requires strong data analysis skills, supervisory experience, and adherence to state and federal regulations as part of a comprehensive compensation program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience; OR
• Master’s degree and two (2) year of related work professional experience.
• Related Experience: responsible payroll experience, including direct supervision of staff, and multi-state/Entity Tax filing and reporting

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll operations and supervise staff.
• Execute all payroll payments and monitor, execute, and analyze payroll integrations with internal and external parties.
• Analyze payroll liabilities and prepare reports; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Test and implement changes to the payroll system and maintain payroll calendars and schedules.
