You will oversee accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence in multi-state payroll, shaping a high-performance payroll function.

In this full-time role, you’ll coach a team, set performance expectations, and develop talent while ensuring adherence to payroll laws and tax regulations.

Qualifications

• CPP Certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7+ years of payroll experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing payroll or client service teams.
• Strong expertise in multi-state payroll, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

THE SCHEDULE:

• This is a full-time position located in The Woodlands, Texas, working regular business hours in a collaborative and professional environment.

YOUR ROLE:

• In this payroll management role, you'll spend your days leading a team of payroll professionals while helping ensure the accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence of payroll services across a growing organization. You'll coach and mentor employees, establish performance expectations, and support career development while simultaneously overseeing compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and multi-state requirements. As challenges arise, you'll serve as a trusted resource for both your team and clients, helping resolve complex payroll situations, advising on risk management and best practices, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes through automation and technology enhancements. OUR REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred. Experience in HCM, PEO, or high-growth SaaS environments is highly preferred.
