Alliance HCM in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a full-time Payroll Tax Analyst to join our team. You will process payroll tax deposits and filings across multiple jurisdictions, research regulatory updates, and help ensure compliance and accuracy.

• 5+ years of payroll tax processing and filing experience in a payroll service/HCM setting.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience with multiple payroll/tax systems.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR PAYROLL TAX ANALYST

In this full-time role, you'll process payroll tax deposits and filings across multiple jurisdictions, research regulatory updates, resolve tax discrepancies, and partner with clients, agencies, and internal teams to address complex questions. You'll also prepare quarterly and annual filings, monitor legislative changes that impact compliance, and help improve workflows that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Here's what we need from you:

• 5+ years of payroll tax processing and filing experience, preferably within a payroll service provider or HCM environment
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local industry laws and regulations
• Experience managing multi-client industry operations in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience working across multiple payroll or tax systems simultaneously
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, and experience with bulk tax filing systems such as EFTPS and state e-file portals are highly preferred.
