Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a Payroll Leader to design and oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across cycles. You will lead audits, submissions, and post-payroll activities while collaborating with Total Rewards and Finance to maintain compliance and optimize processes.

The role requires strong confidentiality, advanced Excel skills, and extensive experience with Workday HCM and ADP, with a focus on regulatory compliance and immigration coordination.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree preferred in HR, accounting, business administration or related field.
• CPP certification preferred.
• 5+ years payroll administration experience.
• 1+ year HR system administration with Workday HCM modules preferred.
• Experience with ADP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads payroll function and oversees the administration of payroll operations.
• Audits payroll and ensures accuracy and timely processing.
• Submits payroll for final processing and resolves escalated issues.
• Assists in immigration matters and compliance reporting.
• Provides backup in payroll processing, new hires, changes, and terminations.
• Ensures payroll taxes are processed accurately and timely.
• Liaises with Finance for GL and reconciliation.
• Guides Payroll team to adhere to regulations.
