JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for 900+ employees across salaried and hourly roles.

You will oversee accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, partnering with HR, Finance, Benefits, and external vendors in Workday and ADP environments. The role emphasizes process improvement, internal controls, audits, and mentorship of the payroll team, ensuring tax filings, 401(k) and HSAs are correctly administered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, benefits, and year-end processing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for 900+ employees, salaried and hourly.
• Provide leadership and direction to the payroll team to meet deadlines.
• Review payroll for accuracy across earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Maintain payroll controls, procedures, and reconciliations.
• Serve as SME for Workday payroll and coordinate with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local payroll tax regulations.
