Job summary

Knightscope, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support a major payroll systems migration and ongoing payroll operations from Sunnyvale, CA HQ. You will gather and verify multi-year payroll data from ADP TotalSource and ADP Workforce Now, coordinate with ADP and internal teams, and maintain audit-ready Excel records. Post go-live, you’ll reconcile data, verify timesheets, and ensure accurate tax withholdings and direct deposits.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with advanced lookup and data reconciliation techniques.
• Associate degree in accounting/business or 1–2 years in payroll support.
• Working knowledge of gross-to-net calculations and tax withholdings.
• Experience with ADP TotalSource and/or ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll systems migration: extract and organize multi-year data from ADP systems.
• Coordinate data extraction formats and timelines with ADP and internal teams.
• Reconcile benefits and retirement data and verify employee records.
• Perform side-by-side comparisons across payroll reports and data exports.
• Build and troubleshoot Excel workbooks to support reconciliation and reporting.
• Identify discrepancies and document repeatable migration processes.
• Post go-live, verify timesheets and payroll calculations, and maintain confidential data.
