Job summary

Rhodes College in Memphis is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the administration, accuracy, and compliance of the College's payroll and timekeeping. You will serve as the primary resource for Workday timekeeping and payroll processes and ensure timely, compliant payroll for staff and student workers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of payroll experience, with preferred exposure to Workday, FNIS, and international payroll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience may be considered.
• Five years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience.
• Experience with payroll tax compliance, payroll reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Workday or comparable enterprise payroll and HR system experience preferred.
• Experience with foreign national payroll or tax processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the College's bi-weekly payroll process.
• Serve as the primary functional resource for Workday timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to evaluate payroll requirements for benefits, deductions, and tax status.
• Administer Workday timekeeping for all hourly employees and provide training and support.
• Administer FNIS processes for international students and employees, ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate with the Bonner Office on stipends.
• Coordinate with third-party provider on W-2 processing updates and annual reconciliation.
• Prepare and transmit payroll-related reports, vendor files, and payments.
