Job summary

Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee the bi-weekly payroll, timekeeping, and compliance operations. You will serve as the primary functional resource for payroll systems and processes.

In collaboration with Human Resources, you will administer Workday timekeeping for hourly staff and international personnel, reconcile reports, support audits, and implement system changes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Five years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience required.
• Experience with payroll tax compliance, payroll reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Workday or comparable enterprise payroll and HR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer bi-weekly payroll processing for employees and students.
• Serve as primary resource for Workday timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Identify discrepancies, research issues, and recommend changes to processes or systems.
• Coordinate testing and implementation of approved changes.
• Collaborate with HR on benefits, deductions, compensation, and tax status changes.
• Administer Workday timekeeping for hourly employees and provide training and support.
• Oversee international payroll and FNIS-related processes.
