Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee the bi-weekly payroll and timekeeping operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This role serves as the primary resource for Workday timekeeping and payroll systems.

You will collaborate with Human Resources to implement payroll requirements for benefits, deductions, compensation, and tax status, and administer timekeeping for hourly staff to promote compliant payroll practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience.
• Experience with payroll tax compliance, payroll reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Workday or comparable enterprise payroll system experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during high-demand payroll periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage bi-weekly payroll process for the College, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll.
• Serve as the primary resource for Workday timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Monitor payroll configurations, resolve complex issues, and recommend system changes.
• Coordinate testing and implementation of approved payroll changes.
• Collaborate with HR to implement payroll requirements for benefits, deductions, and changes.
• Administer and monitor Workday timekeeping for hourly employees with training and support.
