Job summary

KCG Search partners with an established manufacturing organization in Irvine, CA to hire an experienced Payroll Manager who will own and lead payroll operations for about 600 California-based employees. This hands-on leadership role requires deep knowledge of California payroll laws, accuracy in processing regular and off-cycle payrolls, and strong collaboration with HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll for large employee populations.
• Deep knowledge of California wage-and-hour regulations.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising payroll staff.
• ERP/HRIS experience with Paycor and NAV/Navision.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 600 employees.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of regular and off-cycle payrolls.
• Review timecards, payroll data, deductions, adjustments and employee changes.
• Maintain compliance with California payroll and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting and audit support.
• Partner with HR, Finance and Accounting on payroll-related matters.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and internal controls.
• Support payroll system processes and improvements.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Payroll Specialists.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency and processes.
