Job description

Location: Remote (Must reside in Southern California)

Compensation: $45/hr

LHH is seeking a dedicated Payroll Manager to join our client's team. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the flexibility of remote work while requiring residency in Southern California. If you are detail-oriented, experienced in payroll management, and proficient in Workday and advanced Excel, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  3. Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and benefits.
  4. Utilize Workday for payroll processing and reporting.
  5. Perform advanced Excel functions to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
  6. Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  7. Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
  2. Proficiency in Workday payroll system.
  3. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  4. Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Must reside in Southern California.
