Job summary

Simply Driven Workforce Solutions is expanding its payroll and accounting team and seeks a Payroll Manager to lead payroll processing, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and support benefits and deductions management.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, strong multistate compliance, and likely CPP certification. High-volume staffing environment experience is a plus. On-site role with potential for growth within the payroll function.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of multistate or multijurisdiction payroll compliance.
• Certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing across pay groups and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws, including federal Form 941, state withholding, FUTA, and SUTA.
• Manage garnishments, deductions, benefits, and insurance plans.
• Review and approve payroll runs, resolve exceptions, and reconcile payroll totals.
• Coordinate payroll audits and respond to findings.
• Maintain payroll records, prepare reports, and monitor compliance alerts.
• Additional knowledge in Unemployment; Workers Compensation; FMLA; Child Support; ACA

Due to growth of our contract staffing business Simply Driven is building out a payroll & accounting team. We are seeking a Payroll Manager - responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Preferably with experience in high volume recruiting/staffing environments.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or HR (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of multistate or multijurisdiction payroll compliance.
• Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: End To End payroll processing, tax law knowledge, system administration.
• Analytical Skills: Auditing payroll data, analyzing payroll costs and trends.
• Staffing Industry: Current or Prior experience in the Staffing Industry is a plus
