Responsibilities

• Manage and process multi-state payroll from start to finish.
• Review payroll calculations for earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, and accruals.
• Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, voids, and reissues as necessary.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll distribution.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor daily timekeeping activity and validate employee punches.
• Review and resolve timecard discrepancies, missing punches, and attendance exceptions.
• Audit and reconcile employee time records prior to payroll processing.
• Maintain employee pay rates, classifications, status changes, and department assignments.
• Process scheduling and workforce updates within timekeeping systems.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding within payroll and HRIS platforms.
• Import, reconcile, and validate payroll data between timekeeping and payroll systems.
• Maintain payroll system configurations, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all payroll operations, compliance, reporting, and payroll systems administration for a multi-state workforce. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Accounting, Finance, HR, and leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.

Position Overview

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, maintaining payroll and timekeeping systems, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, supporting audits, reconciling payroll-related accounts, and producing payroll and labor reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically savvy, and well-versed in payroll regulations, tax compliance, employee benefits, and payroll system administration.
