Job summary

Wis-Pak, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Lead to manage payroll operations for a multi-state workforce of hourly manufacturing and salaried employees.

Based in Windsor, Wisconsin, the role leads two payroll professionals and serves as the subject matter expert for payroll compliance, systems, and controls. You will partner with HR, Finance, Benefits and Operations to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing and drive continuous improvement across the organization in a hybrid work setting—onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field; 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience leading payroll professionals and supporting hourly manufacturing and salaried populations.
• Experience with payroll systems, HRIS, payroll tax administration, and reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll compliance, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states.
• Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and exception reporting.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, and Operations to ensure accurate data.
• Coach and develop payroll professionals and resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate year-end activities like W-2 processing and tax filings.
