Job summary

Aston Carter in Glen Mills, PA is seeking an Accounting Administrator for a contract on-site role supporting plant operations with focus on timekeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable and inventory tracking.

You will work with plant leadership and a tight-knit team to ensure accurate financial data, timely month-end accruals, and reliable reporting across SAP and other ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting, payroll, or administrative role.
• Hands-on payroll processes, including timekeeping and data entry.
• Experience with an accounting ERP system, specifically SAP.
• Basic Excel proficiency for data entry and simple reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable and PO handling.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across timekeeping, purchasing, and accounting.
• Good organization and record-keeping for reports and inventories.
• Effective communication with plant management, vendors, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the scale operation for weighing company, customer, and third‑party trucks.
• Process vendor invoices and purchase orders with verification and coding.
• Provide admin support to plant management and document coordination.
• Compile and report payroll and production statistics for decisions.
• Track finished goods inventory, costs, and labor hours in ERP systems.
• Purchase parts and safety supplies; maintain documentation.
• Maintain fuel inventory records and downtime reports for planning.
• Prepare month-end accruals and reporting with accuracy.
• Process personnel changes and maintain employee files per policy.
• Enter and maintain accounting data in SAP and other ERP systems.
• Support accounts payable by reconciling invoices and approvals.
• Perform general bookkeeping and data entry tasks.
