Job summary

Coconino County Arizona in Flagstaff is seeking an HR Specialist to support payroll data entry, HRIS management in Tyler Munis, and coordination of onboarding and supervisory academies.

The role may require occasional travel to outlying areas and offers potential for remote work after training. The HR team emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and customer service in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration or related field and one year of human resources administrative experience; OR
• Associate degree in human resources, public administration or related field and two years of human resources administrative experience; OR
• Three years of human resources administrative experience; OR
• Any combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Enter payroll and demographic data in HRIS (Tyler Munis)
• Review payroll processing for accuracy and resolve issues
• Assist with advertisements, postings and paying bills
• Produce statistics and trends for performance measures
• Track and process hires including onboarding
• Coordinate New Employee Orientation I & II
• Prepare reports and data analyses
• Participate in special projects and assist at reception desk
• Support all HR functions and maintain confidentiality
