Job summary

Capital Post-Acute is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee day-to-day payroll and related clerical tasks at our Sacramento facility. Training is available, and you’ll work with HR and accounting to ensure timely processing.

Responsibilities include gathering and reviewing payroll data, approving changes, maintaining payroll records, and supporting onboarding and terminations. Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication.
• 1-2 years’ office experience preferred.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Experience with Excel or payroll software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages payroll and basic HR/accounting functions.
• Gathers, calculates, reviews, and submits information for semi-monthly payroll.
• Verifies timestamps and approvals to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Maintains payroll records for each employee’s earnings.
• Addresses attendance and scheduling issues with department leaders.
• Ensures timely processing and delivery of paychecks.
• Maintains tax forms and I-9 documents as needed.
• Attends meetings and provides reports as assigned.
• Participates in onboarding and termination paperwork.
