Job summary

San Diego Post Acute is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate entry and timely processing of multi-state payrolls. You will provide payroll information and reports to ancillary departments, manage workflow, and support vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
• Associates or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business-related field preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing and multi-state payrolls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor garnishments and payroll-related issues.
• Update payroll records (exemptions, insurance, direct deposit, job titles).
• Prepare earnings, tax, deductions, and leave reports.
• Process off-cycle and termination checks; verifications of employment.
• Post transactions to journals and ledgers and reconcile vendor statements.
• Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits.
