Job summary

Woerner Agribusiness is seeking an experienced Payroll/HR Manager to oversee the day-to-day payroll and HR administration across our farms, stores, transportation, and corporate office. This hands-on role requires ownership, accuracy, and timely delivery of payroll, benefits, leave management, and compliance tasks.

You will coordinate with benefits and risk vendors, ensure I-9/E-Verify and OSHA compliance, and support recruiting, employee relations, and audits across Alabama, Florida, and

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience administering employee benefits, workers' compensation, FMLA/leave, I-9/E-Verify, and other HR compliance functions preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly payroll from start to finish, review timecards, process changes and deductions.
• Oversee employee onboarding, record maintenance, and benefits enrollment/changes.
• Ensure compliance with I-9/E-Verify, OSHA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with benefits and risk/liability brokers and third-party vendors.
• Support recruiting, employee relations, investigations, and terminations as needed.
