Job summary

OnPay, a fast-growing Atlanta-headquartered payroll and HR tech company, seeks a Financial Operations Manager to lead the Money Movement and Payroll Settlement team. You will own funds debit from client accounts and ensure timely delivery to thousands of workers' bank accounts.

You’ll supervise a daily operations crew, optimize multi‑million-dollar banking flows, and partner with Risk, Treasury, and banks to scale the treasury infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial/treasury operations or payroll operations with team management.
• Experience with NACHA rules and real-time settlement workflows.
• Background in high-volume, deadline-driven banking and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a team responsible for payroll funding, direct deposit transmission, and exception processing.
• Oversee ACH clearing timelines across Same-Day ACH, Standard ACH, Wire, RTP, and FedNow.
• Ensure strict cut-off deadlines and zero-tolerance for payroll delays.
• Monitor real-time balances, debit settlements, credit batches, and intraday clearing files.
• Resolve ACH returns, reversals, and payroll adjustments; manage fraud monitoring.
• Partner with Risk, Treasury, and banking partners to scale treasury infrastructure.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls and three-way reconciliation across records and bank statements.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to automate financial workflows.
• Drive root-cause analyses to improve straight-through processing rates.
