Job summary

TAT Technologies, a leader in aerospace thermal management and related services, seeks a Staff Accountant to oversee payroll, equity administration, and corporate accounting. The role provides accurate payroll, equity tracking, and timely financial reporting for the corporate entity.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll expertise, solid accounting knowledge, and attention to internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate, manufacturing, or public accounting environment.
• 3+ years of Payroll Processing experience.
• Knowledge of stock administration, equity compensation plans, or employee stock.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting principles.
• Experience preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits and preparing account analyses and supporting schedules.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation is a plus.
• Experience with Business Central highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees.
• Administer equity compensation programs, including stock options and RSUs, and maintain equity records.
• Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation for reports and disclosures.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls across payroll, equity, and corporate accounting processes.
