Job summary

Taulia is seeking a Senior Accountant to scale the Finance department and own payroll operations across US, Canada, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. You will handle core accounting tasks while taking ownership of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

This role collaborates with HR and Legal to manage payroll workflows and multi-state regulatory changes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting, strong Excel and payroll system experience, and a CPA/ACCA/CIMA or in-progress.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of general accounting experience, SaaS/Fintech preferred.
• Desire to master multi-state payroll and compliance.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems.
• Ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
• Bachelor’s in accounting/finance; CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred or in-progress.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for US, Canada, Australia, and Saudi Arabia.
• Manage multi-state relocation compliance and local tax withholdings.
• Coordinate PFML, disability top-ups, and leave calculations for US payroll.
• Perform core accounting tasks and financial reporting with accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month/quarter/year closes.
• Support audits and maintain robust payroll/accounting SOPs.
