Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Bolingbrook, IL seeks a Payroll Coordinator to handle weekly payroll processing tasks and respond to time-sensitive payroll requests. You will support the payroll team, liaise with ADP and internal partners, and help maintain accurate, confidential payroll records.

The role requires travel to the Bolingbrook, IL office 5 days/week for several hours daily, with benefits including health and retirement plans and paid time off. A 2-year degree and payroll knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year Associates degree preferred.
• General understanding of the payroll end to end process.
• Familiarity with payroll rules and regulations.
• ADP, ECP and UKG knowledge helpful.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and independent problem solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail and audit skills.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite products.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing payroll on a weekly basis, including running reports and researching missing time-card punches.
• Process some pay groups, typically smaller in size.
• Research and respond to garnishment related requests promptly.
• Respond to time-sensitive inquiries from business partners, ADP and other agencies and follow up on issues.
• Assist with data gathering, retrieve documents and files as needed.
• Prepare, edit, and update payroll reports and spreadsheets.
• Create communications regarding payroll information and due dates for distribution.
• Work with ADP to set up new stores and ensure correct address for checks/pay cards.
• Read and route mail and email; process outgoing mail daily.
• Assist Payroll Tax Analyst with monthly/quarterly requests.
• Answer associate calls professionally and route as needed.
• Collaborate with management and payroll team members across functions.
