Job summary

Columbia Tech—Westborough, MA seeks an experienced payroll professional to manage bi-weekly payroll, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and maintain related HRIS data.

You will oversee 401k funding, deductions, and garnishments, generate reports, and support managers in timekeeping systems. A strong ADP background and knowledge of UKG HRIS are required. Salary ranges are commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Proven experience with ADP payroll systems is required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and wage laws.
• Experience with UKG HRIS or similar HRIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily payroll operations and related administrative functions.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll workflow to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile payroll data and validate reports for accuracy.
• Create and post payroll-related GL entries and reconcile with cash accounts.
• Administer 401k submissions and ensure IRS compliance.
• Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, and related entries.
• Process benefit enrollments and related payroll deductions.
• Calculate and administer wage garnishments per regulations.
• Generate payroll reports for staffing vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support supervisors in use of ADP Time & Attendance systems.
• Review time records to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Review monthly benefit invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable.
• Enter new hire/temporary info into UKG HRIS and ADP databases.
• Maintain employee records including salary changes and status updates.
