Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a payroll professional to manage accurate, timely payroll processing for a large multi-state environment. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and handle complex payroll issues with confidentiality and customer service focus.

Responsibilities include end-to-end payroll processing, data audits, garnishments, and ad hoc reporting, in a dynamic, team-focused environment. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of HR policies/programs and payroll.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of multi-frequency payrolls.
• Audit and reconciliation of HR and payroll data to identify discrepancies.
• Ensure data compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations including multi-state taxation.
• Reconcile payroll integration and bank files.
• Provide timely responses and setup of employee garnishments.
• Provide ad hoc reports to internal customers as required.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues with timely, accurate information.
• Keep abreast of payroll regulations.
• Special projects as assigned.

Job Description:

Position Summary:

• This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees within a large company, multi-state, union environment.
• This position requires a comprehensive understanding of internal processes, compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations as well as company policies, and the ability to handle complex issues.
• The successful candidate will also have basic knowledge of payroll accounting, wage and hour laws, and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities Include:

• End-to-end processing of multi-frequency payrolls.
• Audit and reconciliation of HR and payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure data is compliant with federal, state and local tax regulations including multistate taxation rules.
• Reconcile payroll integration and bank files.
• Provide timely and compliant response and set up of employee garnishments.
• Provide ad hoc reports to internal customers as required.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing timely and accurate information and resolving discrepancies.
• Keep abreast of payroll related regulations.
• Special projects as assigned.

Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate level Excel skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between HR policies/programs and payroll.
