We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our team and support payroll operations for approximately 1,000 U.S. employees. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now , strong knowledge of payroll compliance, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
This role will support the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll, employee inquiries, payroll reporting, and process improvements. The organization also plans to implement Workday HCM , and the Payroll Administrator will assist with this transition under the direction of the Payroll Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll for assigned employee groups using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support payroll tax filings, year-end processing, W-2 preparation, and internal audits.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll data, including salary adjustments, benefits, deductions, and personal information.
- Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and data verification to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of payroll standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support colleagues with payroll policies, procedures, and system-related questions.
- Prepare and maintain payroll documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assist with the implementation of Workday HCM and other payroll process improvements.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll and employee information.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience using ADP Workforce Now .
- Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Experience with Workday HCM is a plus.
- Solid understanding of payroll laws, regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Strong Excel skills for payroll calculations, reporting, and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and respond to employee inquiries.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving payroll processes.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
- Experience in a professional services environment is preferred but not required.
