Comprehensive Community Health Centers in Glendale, CA seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage accurate and timely payroll for all employees. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, maintain records, resolve discrepancies, and support audits.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, data integrity, and collaboration with HR and Finance to deliver precise payroll and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of payroll processing experience.
• Working knowledge of wage and hour laws (federal and state).
• Experience processing payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Excel.
• Multi-state payroll experience.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely.
• Review payroll related paperwork including timesheets and documents.
• Process payroll according to company policy.
• Run payroll reports after processing.
• Prepare garnishments, support orders and tax levies.
• Process final checks for terminated employees.
• Balance payroll accounts by resolving discrepancies.
• Audit payroll reports (registers, quarterly reports, W-2).
• Provide payroll information by answering questions.
• Ensure payroll policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll data.
