Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pay employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks.
• Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests from employees or supervisors.
• Issue interim off-cycle checks for layoffs and missed time entries timely.
• Understand payroll transactions in JDEdwards, in-house payroll processing.
• Interact with Payroll, Corporate Accounting, and multiple contacts with Division Finance personnel.
• Produce or assist with filing Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs).
• Understand Payroll Tax.
• Communicate effectively via email with employees and managers.
• Handle challenging situations within time requirements.
• Understand basic Union Regulations (overtime, shift differential, annual rate increases per CBA, union penalties).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in construction industry payroll processing.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Experience with union payrolls.
• 5 years of in-house payroll processing.
• Experience with JDE – Preferred.
• Adaptable and experienced in meeting challenging deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Positive and professional approach in day-to-day interactions with co-workers and field employees.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive and professional.
