Job summary

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center, Inc. is seeking an HR Associate to manage biweekly payroll and support benefits administration. You will partner with HR, Finance, and our broker to ensure accurate records, timely processing, and compliance with applicable laws and policies.

The role offers a full-time, hybrid schedule in California with comprehensive benefits and a salary range of $75,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience and equity considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Admin, or related field or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with employee benefits administration.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS platforms; strong Excel; Paylocity preferred.
• Union payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly and off-cycle payroll end-to-end.
• Review timecards for accuracy and deadline reminders.
• Enter payroll adjustments and benefits-related payouts.
• Maintain accurate payroll records aligned with PANs and raises.
• Handle post-payroll remittances, reports, and year-end W-2 processing.
• Coordinate benefit enrollments and reconcile carrier invoices.
• Respond to employee questions about pay and benefits.
