VIVA HEALTH, part of the UAB Health System, is a health maintenance organization delivering quality healthcare. The HR Specialist will support records, HRIS and compensation while providing excellent customer service and acting as payroll/benefits backup.

Based in Birmingham, AL, this hybrid role combines onsite at the corporate office with some work-from-home opportunities and offers comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, wellness programs, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HR records and files, paper and electronic.
• Enter and audit data in the HRIS and prepare reports.
• Backup payroll processing and related reporting.
• Support benefits administration and enrollment tracking.
• Assist compensation with job descriptions and classifications.
• Assist leave management and workers' compensation processes.
• Serve as a point of contact; troubleshoot and escalate when needed.
