Job summary

The position requires an associates degree and at least two years' experience in payroll or HR, with strong Excel and privacy practices. It is a full-time exempt role on-site in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in HR, business, or accounting.
• Two or more years of payroll, benefits, or HR experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including changes and deductions.
• Administer employee benefits programs and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare payroll and benefits documentation and reports.
• Maintain confidential HR records and ensure data accuracy.
• Support workers' compensation and unemployment processes as needed.
• Assist with onboarding, benefits enrollment, and policy acknowledgments.
• Coordinate with CFO and HR Manager on complex issues and audits.
• Provide timely, professional responses to employee questions.
