ZIEHL-ABEGG Inc. North America is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist in Winston-Salem, NC to ensure accurate bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing and to support employee benefits administration.

This role serves as the primary contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and company policies while supporting HR and Finance teams in maintaining accurate compensation records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Knowledge of compensation and benefits practices and laws.
• Experience with HRIS/HRMS systems.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications (SHRM-CP/SCP, CPP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and timely.
• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, wage changes, position changes, taxes, benefits, etc.
• Administer employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, short term and long term disability, and wellness programs.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Reconcile payroll totals into ERP system and ensure accurate financial & cost center postings.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze payroll and benefits data, identifying trends, draw logical conclusions and draft internal communications.
• Able to prepare and generate reports utilizing information from various systems.
• Document and maintain administrative procedures for department processes and procedures.
• Conduct employee education sessions to help employees understand their benefit options and coverage levels.
• Understand benefits plan design at a high-level.
• Assists new hire orientations and open enrollment process.
• Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
