Job summary

Manor ISD is seeking a Specialist - Payroll/Benefits to manage semi-monthly payrolls, maintain payroll and benefits records, and assist employees with benefits and leave information. This role supports the district’s HR and Finance teams in Manor, Texas.

The candidate should have two years of payroll/benefits experience, be proficient with basic computer tools, and maintain strict confidentiality. Bilingual skills are preferred to serve a diverse staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of payroll/benefits administration experience preferred in public education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and policies (FICA/Medicare, TRS, FMLA, FLSA).
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Assist employee benefits programs (health, dental, life, health reimbursement).
• Act as liaison between employees and third-party insurance administrator.
• Process benefits enrollment and changes within payroll deadlines.
