Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with an established organization to hire a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join its HR team in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day payroll and benefits operations, maintain employee data, and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant processes.

This full-time role requires 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS systems.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day payroll processing and related administrative activities.
• Support benefits administration, including enrollments, employee changes, deductions, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain accurate employee information across HR and payroll systems.
• Research and resolve payroll, benefits, and employee data issues.
• Assist with payroll-related compliance, reporting, audits, and year-end activities.
• Respond to employee and manager questions with timely resolution of issues.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support smooth processes.
• Maintain process documentation, reports and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Support additional HR and payroll projects as needed.

Job Description:

This position is ideal for a payroll and benefits professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and ensuring processes are handled accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will manage recurring payroll and benefits activities, maintain employee data, work with vendors, and help ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day payroll processing and related administrative activities.
• Support benefits administration, including enrollments, employee changes, deductions, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain accurate employee information across HR and payroll systems.
