Job summary

The City of Greensboro Finance Department seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support payroll accuracy, compliance, and timekeeping operations. You will audit timekeeping, resolve discrepancies, maintain system configurations, and serve as a key resource for payroll staff and department partners.

Reporting to the Assistant Payroll Manager, you will lead Payroll Technicians, oversee monthly and year-end payroll processes, coordinate with IT and Benefits, and ensure payroll data integrity

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher; CPP certification with 7+ years payroll experience.
• 4+ years of payroll best practices and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with ERP payroll systems, Workforce Management/Infor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Audit timekeeping and payroll data for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead Payroll Technicians and coordinate assignments.
• Coordinate year-end payroll processes and reports.
• Serve as first backup for payroll processing.
• Act as lead for Infor support tickets and system testing.
• Reconcile payroll registers with general ledger.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve payroll issues.
