Job summary

Sea Island Land Development, based in Ravenel, SC, seeks a Payroll Analyst to own payroll accuracy, compliance, and reporting as the team scales. The role focuses on full-cycle weekly payroll, state withholding, and audits across multiple states.

You will lead W-2 processing, certified payroll reporting, and coordinate with auditors while building efficient payroll processes for ongoing growth. Strong Excel and BambooHR expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll management experience, ideally in construction or industrial settings.
• Expert user of BambooHR or similar payroll system.
• Experience reconciling payroll between HRIS and ERP/accounting software.
• Comfortable owning workers' compensation and GL audits with auditors.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance and W-2/W-2c corrections.
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle weekly payroll for field and office teams with accuracy before pay day.
• Manage garnishments, off-cycle runs, terminations, and direct deposit setup.
• Register and maintain state withholding and unemployment tax accounts as new states are added.
• Prepare W-2s and file W-2c corrections when needed.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects.
• Oversee workers' compensation and general liability premium audits from start to finish.
