Job summary

UC Irvine's Payroll Operations team is seeking a Payroll Analyst to coordinate, process, and perform payroll functions in UCPath and the Time Reporting System (TRS). The role involves creating and pulling reports for analysis, applying policies to resolve payroll issues, and handling data across employee labor distributions, accruals, and overtime.

Strong Excel skills, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of BA/BS experience or equivalent.
• Experience using Excel to organize and analyze data and create tables, charts, graphs, and reports.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, processes, and performs payroll functions in UCPath and the Time Reporting System (TRS).
• Creates and pulls reports for analysis and applies organizational policies and procedures to resolve payroll issues.
• Works on payroll problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations requires data review of multiple factors.
