Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Payroll Analyst to coordinate and process payroll in UCPath and TRS under the Payroll Operations Manager in COHS. The role involves handling salary transfers, separations and related transactions while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, a BA/BS, strong Excel skills, and the ability to analyze data and communicate clearly with faculty, staff and administrators.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of payroll processes, policies and organizational systems.
• Strong judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, process and perform payroll functions in UCPath and TRS.
• Serve as Department Time Administrator and process salary cost transfers and separations.
• Create and pull reports for analysis and resolve payroll issues.
• Apply policies to resolve payroll problems of moderate scope.
• Handle data review of labor distribution, vacation accrual, and overtime.
