Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate, compliant payroll across a unionized workforce. You will audit payroll, manage garnishments, and address discrepancies while applying knowledge of Workday and related systems.

The role requires in-office presence in Salt Lake City, with potential to work from home up to one day per week after a six‑month training period, subject to manager approval. A strong customer-service focus is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years payroll experience with ERP for 500+ employees.
• Union environment experience preferred; annual credit check.
• Associates degree in Accounting or related field (or 2 extra years experience).
• CPP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and audit timely, accurate payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with UTA policies, bargaining agreements, and regulations.
• Manage garnishment, leave balances, and payroll inquiries/discrepancies.
• Support year-end processes, audits, and tax filings.
