Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a temporary assignment for a large entertainment company. You will process payroll for a large employee population and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

This role partners with HR and Finance to maintain accurate records and reporting, handles garnishments and tax notices, reconciles payroll data, and assists with audits and month-end activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and tax compliance.
• Experience with major payroll/HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, UKG, SAP, Ceridian.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data reconciliation).
• High level of accuracy and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to submission.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll.
• Handle garnishments, wage attachments, tax notices, and payroll inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions and benefits withholdings.
• Support payroll audits and month-end reporting activities.
• Generate payroll-related reports and provide data to HR, Finance and management.
• Collaborate with HR regarding employee transactions affecting payroll.
• Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and special projects.

An established entertainment company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a temporary assignment. This role will assist with processing payroll for a large employee population, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and partnering with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and payroll reporting. The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced environments, strong payroll knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for both hourly and salaried employees
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and deductions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements
• Handle garnishments, wage attachments, tax notices, and employee payroll inquiries
• Reconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions, and benefit withholdings
• Support payroll audits and assist with month-end reporting activities
• Generate payroll-related reports and provide data to HR, Finance, and management teams as needed
• Collaborate with HR regarding employee transactions impacting payroll
• Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and special projects as assigned
