Job summary

Beacon Hill in Hollywood, CA, seeks a Payroll Analyst for a temporary assignment to support payroll operations. You will process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, maintain records, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations while collaborating with HR and Finance to deliver accurate payroll data.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, strong technical skills with major HRIS systems, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience supporting payroll in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax compliance.
• Experience with major payroll/HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, UKG, SAP, Ceridian, or similar systems.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll requirements.
• Handle garnishments, wage attachments, tax notices, and employee payroll inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions, and benefit withholdings.
• Support payroll audits and assist with month-end reporting activities.
• Generate payroll-related reports and provide data to HR, Finance, and management teams as needed.
• Collaborate with HR regarding employee transactions impacting payroll.
• Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and special projects as assigned.
