Responsibilities

• Process payroll from end to end, including timecard validation, data maintenance, calculations, deductions, direct deposits, and paycheck distribution.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records for new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and address changes.
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support government requests (wage verifications, garnishments).
• Develop and deliver payroll training and process documentation for compliance.

THE ROLE:

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently for a large, multi-state workforce. This role manages payroll transactions, employee data maintenance, payroll reconciliations, and payroll-related inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The Payroll Analyst serves as a key liaison between Operations, Human Resources, and Finance to support timely payroll processing and an exceptional employee experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process payroll from end to end, including timecard validation, employee data maintenance, payroll calculations, deductions, direct deposits, and paycheck distribution
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, address changes, and direct deposit updates
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support government requests such as wage verifications and garnishment orders
• Develop and deliver payroll-related training, resources, and process documentation to support employee understanding and compliance

This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 1x per quarter.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field
• 1–2+ years of payroll, accounting, finance, or related experience
• Experience processing payroll and maintaining confidential employee information preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Knowledge of payroll systems, payroll compliance, and reporting preferred
