Job summary

Northwest Kidney Centers in Seattle is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage accurate, on-site payroll for all staff. You will maintain payroll records, verify timesheets, and calculate regular, overtime, and special pay, including deductions and taxes.

Collaborating with HR and Accounting, you will reconcile payroll accounts, support audits, and drive process improvements while upholding strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Proven payroll processing experience, including multi-cycle payrolls.
• Experience handling garnishments and deductions per federal/state laws.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, withholding, reporting compliance.
• Experience with employee benefits deductions (medical, retirement, etc.).
• Basic accounting skills for reconciliation and general ledger posting.
• Proficient with payroll software and HRIS; high attention to detail.
• Confidentiality and strong communication skills; healthcare/non-profit experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s/associate degree in relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees, maintaining payroll records and validating timesheets.
• Compute regular, overtime, and special pay in accordance with policies and regulations, including deductions and taxes.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a clear, service-oriented manner; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting to reconcile payroll accounts and support audits.
• Assist with process improvements and ensure compliance with changing payroll laws.
