Job summary

Stoke Space in Kent, WA is seeking a Payroll Administrator / Accounting Specialist to manage bi-weekly, multi-state payroll and support AP/AR and general accounting activities. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain payroll controls and handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Responsibilities include processing payroll via Rippling, reconciling payroll-related GL accounts, supporting tax filings, and assisting with month-end close while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in payroll administration or accounting operations.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and payroll taxes.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll across multiple states using Rippling.
• Review timecards, payroll changes, and payroll reports for accuracy.
• Support AP/AR activities and general ledger reconciliations.
• Collaborate with HR on leaves, benefits, and payroll adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws.
