Job summary

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant - Payroll in Mount Laurel, NJ to manage biweekly payroll for 300+ employees on a fully onsite schedule. You will support month-end close, journal entries, and audit readiness while ensuring accurate payroll processing and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3–5 years of payroll experience and strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting and payroll experience.
• Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees.
• Experience with payroll HRIS platforms and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll accurately and timely for 300+ employees.
• Review timesheets, changes, overtime, deductions and benefit elections.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and audits with schedules and data.
