Addison Group is seeking a Payroll Accountant in St. Paul, MN to manage bi‑weekly payroll for multiple entities and support payroll administration, reconciliations, and reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, familiarity with multi-state payroll, and proficiency in ERP systems and Excel. Salary is $75,000–$80,000 with full benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience.
• Experience with multi-state/multi-entity payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regs and garnishments.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
• CPP preferred but not required.
• Strong accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Enter, process, and review payroll changes (new hires, terminations, merit increases, retroactive adjustments, commissions, bonuses, benefits changes, direct deposit updates, W-4 changes).
• Complete bi-weekly payroll reconciliations and prepare related journal entries.
• Review and process employee reimbursements within the payroll system.
• Review and reconcile federal, state, and local payroll tax payments and support tax filings.
• Prepare and distribute standard and ad hoc payroll reports.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions.
• Support payroll audits and other compliance-related audits as needed.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
• Assist with payroll-related reporting and documentation.
• Support cash application and bank reconciliation activities as needed.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to payroll and cash transactions.
• Assist with other accounting and financial functions as needed.
