LHH is assisting a stable, large company in recruiting an Accountant for a six-month assignment in Seattle. The role focuses on payroll accounting support, journal entries, and close processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience in large corporate settings and excels in analytical thinking and cross-team collaboration. The position offers a hybrid work schedule in Seattle, WA, with opportunities to contribute to system improvements and audits.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, payroll accounting, payroll taxes, and compliance.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and formulas.

Mansioni

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, wages, PTO, bonuses, benefits, and other employee-related accounts.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and general ledger variances.
• Analyze payroll-related financial activity and assist with reporting.
• Partner with Payroll, HR, Accounting, and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Support payroll system improvements, testing, and process enhancements.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Assist with internal controls, procedures, and special accounting projects.
